Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the System Operations Engineer will have an essential role in supporting a safe, reliable, sustainable, and affordable network for our customers. You will be responsible for utilising relevant systems and databases, including appropriately managing asset and network data and information.

Your key responsibilities will be (but not limited to):

  • Provide Engineering support to Control Room Operations.
  • Maintain systems and processes which support Control Room and broader business function.
  • Advise on the Control and Operation of Ausgrid’s Transmission and Distribution Network.
  • Implement new equipment and processes onto Ausgrid’s network.
  • Aid incident management, investigation & reporting processes.
  • Subject Matter Expert for ADMS EMS, DMS, Alarms, Contingency Analysis.
  • Electrical Network Security, Reliability, Recovery Planning and Stability of DNSP Assets.
  • Interface with Network Security, System Operations, SCADA Operations, Network Planning, Outage Planning, GIS, Field Teams, Customer Teams and HV Customers.
