Description:

We have an exciting new opening for a Validation Engineer for developed products within Technology for Zero-Emission Vehicles Products. You’ll be given the opportunity to develop next-generation products and technologies for the automotive industry.

As an individual contributor to the Electrification Center of Excellence (ECOE) and responding to the Validation and Testing Manager, the System Validation Engineer drives and supports the following activities:

  • Work with designers to understand product requirements.
  • Analyze customer testing requirements.
  • Write the validation plan with its test scenarios in accordance with the stages of the V cycle,
  • Specify the hardware and communication interfaces to control ECUs
  • Develop validation plans, test definition, and perform testing for hardware and software integration such as acceptance testing
  • Develop control software in LabVIEW, CANoe, or CANape to command motor controller
  • Develop test environments and test cases for all mechanical and electrical systems
  • Build automated testing systems for regular checks

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Electrical, Computer, or System Engineering.
  • Working experience in validation engineering which includes electrical hardware and software testing.
  • Additional experience in an engineering test environment is always beneficial
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, Flex ray)
  • Use of calibration, diagnostic, and measurement tools such as INCA, CANalyzer, and CANape.
  • Practical problem-solving approach.
