REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates degree and 4+ years of experience; OR Batchelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience; OR Master’s degree. Additional experience will not be considered in lieu of a degree
  • This position requires the candidate possess a minimum of TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
  • IAT II Certification (Security+)
  • Experience with Active Directory account and server management and monitoring
  • Experience with monitoring and management tools
  • Knowledge of Backup Systems, Networking principles, and equipment
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management Processes and concepts with special emphasis on Incident and Event management
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work within a team, provide training and technical direction to team members, mentor and train newly assigned staff
  • Demonstrated customer service capabilities and focus

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or System Administration
  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or network related
  • Working knowledge of, and experience with, JIRA and Confluence, ServiceNow

Your efforts will fundamentally change what Space Domain Awareness and Mission Protection mean for our Nation.
Skyfire is a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Indications and Warning (I&W) system. Its purpose is establish a repository of resident space objects (RSOs), find RSOs of interest, and provide data to ground operators. Located in Chantilly, VA, the Skyfire team uses: programmatics, sensor modeling, and system engineering expertise to deliver this world-class SDA I&W system.

We are seeking a Systems Administration to:

  • Provide technical expertise and support to end-users.
  • Enable customers the ability to access and operate mission-critical applications

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Provide technical expertise to support operations.
  • Responsible the execution of Account Management, functions, activities and tasks.
  • Performs: Incident Management, Event Management and After Hours Support.
  • Provides technical support to users by researching and answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstation and LAN performance.
  • Provides answers to clients by identifying problems, researching answers, and guiding clients through corrective steps.
  • Monitor and manage systems to ensure operation, reporting of anomalies, call-out of Tier 2/3 staff
  • Improves system performance by identifying problems and recommending changes.
  • Documents and logs routine and non-routine events with an eye for metrics.
  • Maintains eligibility by completing all mandatory training objectives.
  • Participate in training and development of staff techniques, technologies, and processes
