SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Successful applicants will be required to obtain a defence security clearance. You must be an Australian citizen and have a ten-year verifiable background.

Responsibilities:

You will be applying your knowledge and experience using various technologies, tools and processes to develop effective approved solutions. You will gain practical experience in system administration, hardware and software management, release management, configuration management, and incident management. Key tasks include:

  • Manage classified and sensitive data elements (in accordance with program security policy).
  • Run application for System settings and Registry backups.
  • Maintain Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) system administration to include disaster recovery, backup/archiving of data and data integrity.
  • Install Technical applications on the appropriate ALIS units at the site for use by maintenance users.
  • Maintenance of ALIS to include performing backups, applying operating system updates and configuration changes, installation of proprietary system applications, monitory of system health and assistance in the installation of new hardware/software.
  • Provide productivity and efficiency analysis for continuous improvement to include metrics tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure data integrity and continued operation of workstations, servers, applications, and the ALIS infrastructure.
  • First point of contact for customer inquiries and level 1 IT helpdesk tasks.
  • Creation of system users and maintenance of user administration.
