About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a new opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our Function based in either Adelaide or Melbourne, reporting to the Systems Administration Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be a key technical resource within a dynamic team, working across all aspects of delivery and sustainment. You will work through rotations focusing on providing support, sustainment, delivery and administration of core infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing service call support to internal customers meeting agreed resolution times
  • Ensure that sustainment activities are planned and executed on compute, storage and Windows Server systems
  • Work on project delivery tasks
  • Ensure Standard Operating Processes are in place and maintained for our Services
  • Contribute to service health plans that support service performance reviews and conduct post incident reviews within agreed resolution times
  • Seek to maximise our efficiency in support of the business by making use of automation technologies
  • Seek to enable delivery to our customer by enabling cross-functional teams to make use of provided enterprise services capabilities

About YOU

  • Experience in an IT customer service/ technical role with a demonstrated ability to manage and support the relevant Infrastructure systems
  • Expertise in Windows Server 2016/ 2019/ 2022 support
  • Expertise in managing VMware platforms including VSAN/ HCI
  • Proficiency in PowerShell
  • MS Azure experience
  • Expertise with Configuration Manager/SCCM to support Windows Server patching and software deployments.
  • Commvault Simpana support experience.
  • Strong collaboration skills, confident oral and written communicator able to build effective relationship with business representatives, customers and vendors
  • Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) Security Clearance Required or eligibility to obtain
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
