Description:
SUMMARY
The Systems Administrator is an information technology (IT) professional who is responsible for ensuring that the computer systems are functioning and meet the needs of the organization. The sysadmin will also provide support, troubleshoot, and maintain computer servers and networks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE ABLE TO:
- Set up workstations based on user system specifications and help troubleshoot functionality issues for Windows, Linux, or Mac systems
- Upgrade, install, configure, and modify application software and computer hardware
- Provide technical support to employees by analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing the issue
- Create and manage system permissions and user accounts
- Perform regular security tests and security monitoring
- Maintain networks and network file systems
- Participate in the cybersecurity program by monitoring alerts and addressing cyber incidents.
- Participate in planning and estimation meetings and contribute to overall IT management
- Provide insight on cybersecurity, IT management, hardware, software, and other InfoSystems functions when applicable
- Perform other related duties as assigned
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Familiarity with NIST SP 800-171 is preferred

REQUIREMENTS
- Exclusive US citizenship is required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance is required
- Associate degree (or equivalent) in an IT-related field, IT Certifications, or a minimum of 5 years’ work experience in an IT/software development field is required
