WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Salary: Commensurate on selected candidate’s experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience AND t hree years of systems administration related experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Advanced cross-disciplined IT skills, advanced analysis and troubleshooting/problem-solving, client relations skills, requirement assessment and analysis, project management methodology, understands context/interrelationships, and proficiency of ITIL.
  • Familiarity with AWS and/or Azure; preferably with management and deployment of resources.
  • Knowledge of M365 Platform including but not limited to Exchange, SharePoint, Team, and One Drive Familiarity with Google WorkSpaces
  • ITIL Foundations
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).

Responsibilities:

  • Cloud/Server Platform Administration: Provide technical guidance and oversight for server administration and cloud platforms. Set-up and configure large and complex servers; develop complex system logic and configuration; and conduct complex server performance analyses and tuning. Coordinate routine audits of systems and software.
  • New Technology Planning, Evaluation, Deployment, and System Integration Testing: Coordinate the evaluation of new technologies. Make recommendations based on the evaluation of new technologies for their applicability to the client’s needs. Create, evaluate, and approve plans for the implementation of new technology deployments and system integration testing.
  • Problem Management: Oversee and coordinate the analysis of system logs. Help coordinate and monitor the problem management process to include backup support. Troubleshoot complex network problems. Provide Tier III support.
  • Data Security: Oversee the maintenance of system security, and for protecting and recovering client data. Develop disaster recovery plans for complex systems.
  • Client Consultation: Provide technical oversight for the development of plans for cloud resources and deployment of those workloads.
  • Documentation: Oversee the process used to document server support methods, procedures, and configuration.
  • Project Planning Support: Collaborate with the project leader to develop work plans and time schedules for projects including outlining phases and identifying personnel and computing equipment requirements.
  • Common Duties: May coordinate the technical activities of a project team; complete reports and summaries for management and/or users including status reports, problem reports, progress summaries, and system utilization reports; serve as a senior member of an information resource team responsible for setting technical direction; and perform all or some of the duties of a Systems Administrator II.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training and professional development sessions. Performs other duties as assigned.
