ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 5+ years of experience with Data Centre, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and emerging technologies.
- 3+ years of experience managing EUC & SOE in an enterprise environment.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory, and key server technologies.
- Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, SDWAN, and wide area network technologies.
- Experience with ITIL in a hybrid cloud environment.
- Proven architecture and design experience within Data Centre and Cloud technologies.
- Expertise in public and private cloud domains, including engineering and operational management.
- Strong customer service focus and exceptional communication skills.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Highly regarded, but not essential, professional qualifications in Azure, DevOps, Project Management, or Network fields.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in implementing, managing, operating, securing, and monitoring InvoCare’s Data Centre and Cloud Services. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and support robust infrastructure solutions, primarily utilising Microsoft computing services. This role demands a focus on reliability, scalability, testing, and automation, ensuring the highest standards in our IT operations.
The InvoCare support office is currently located in North Sydney, however, we are excited to announce that our office will be relocating to the North West or Western suburbs by July 2025.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and deliver high-quality, secure infrastructure and software solutions.
- Collaborate with various teams to design, build, and maintain Data Centre and cloud infrastructure.
- Diagnose and correct issues related to Microsoft and associated technologies.
- Support existing systems to ensure maximum uptime of applications and platforms.
- Conduct rigorous monitoring, review, and analysis to maintain system efficiency.
- Maintain a controlled testing environment and ensure compliance with change and release management.
- Continuously improve standards, processes, and tools for automation, scaling, and recovery.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and documentation for the systems environment.
- Manage SOE capabilities for asset management, security, patch management, and software updates.
- Automate team tasks using zero-touch tools and processes.
- Support and enhance core infrastructure for EUC services.
