Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled System Administrator with a strong background in managing and maintaining IT systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in system configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to system maintenance, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. This position requires working in the office five days a week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and maintaining server environments, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring reliable operation.
  • Utilisation of network monitoring tools for troubleshooting.
  • Managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other essential services.
  • Performing regular system backups and ensuring data integrity.
  • Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Collaborating with IT support teams to resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Participating in IT projects.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Continuously seeking opportunities for system optimization and automation.

Skills and Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Preferred). Equivalent work experience and certifications will also be considered.
  • Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with network management and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated teamwork skills and work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative with a hands-on approach.
  • Previous experience with (DBA) and training or certification in Azure are highly desirable.
