Responsibilities:
POSITION PURPOSE:
Performs highly complex to advanced (senior-level) work. Maintain integrity of network servers and infrastructure; performs system analysis, project planning and implementation, troubleshooting, capacity planning and performance tuning; develop and maintain security and disaster recovery procedures; provide technical support, and perform hardware and software upgrades; provide long term recommendations and solutions for the ongoing enhancement of support operations, process and service to meet the needs of the enterprise. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain of all hardware.
- Designs, tests, documents, implements, and performs, and may oversee, scheduled validation plans for monitoring and performing firmware updates, OS updates, software updates, Active Directory configurations, DNS configurations, DHCP configurations, server room adversity, critical network events and failures, hardware device failure, internet service, network traffic performance, antivirus, adware, web farms, and database engines.
- Develops, documents, implements, maintains, and performs, and may oversee, scheduled test of a full disaster plan; including maintaining backups of all environments.
- Provides upward and lateral communication and coordination that sufficiently addresses expectations and project status.
- Makes recommendations for the network to ensure that current and future needs are met.
