UNCOMN is seeking a Systems Analyst (AWS RDS) to:

  • Design, develop, test, and evaluate network systems with a focus on AWS solutions.
  • Maintain system architecture and integration plans.
  • Implement and maintain AWS database/Relational Database Service (RDS) solutions.
  • Optimize database performance and ensure security.
  • Manage network protocols, LAN administration, DNS, and Active Directory (AD).
  • Administer UNIX and Windows-based operating systems, performing regular updates and patches.
  • Monitor and manage cloud resources for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Use Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
  • Collaborate on IT projects, ensuring timely and effective completion.
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and support project goals.
  • Analyze technical challenges and develop strategic solutions.
  • Adapt to changing technologies and business needs, working both independently and as part of a team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of related professional experience including Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX and Windows-based operating systems with hands-on DNS and AD experience.
  • At least 2+ years’ experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining AWS database/Relational Database Service (RDS) solutions.
  • Exposure to project management and documentation tools like Jira and Confluence.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, paired with the ability to think strategically about complex technical challenges.
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must hold an active AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.
  • Must hold an active an IAT Level II certification; CompTIA Security+ CE highly preferred.
  • Must hold an active, fully adjudicated Secret clearance, granted by the US Government.
