Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join the Hywel Dda Out of Hours (OOH) Service as a Systems Analyst. This post will support the OOH Service in the management of systems and processes, which includes data management. This self-motivated individual will ensure service data is used to support the delivery of quality patient care across the Hywel Dda Health Board and will be key to the information gathering and presentation to direct future developments.
Consideration will be given to a combination of office based/home working.
Oversee the maintenance and development of the ICT systems and software used in the operation of the Out of Hours service throughout the Health Board and WAST/111 service.
Support the performance of systems and the use of applications by documenting changes and adopting appropriate operational policies and procedures.
Review and implement the impact of changes in policies relating to service delivery. The post holder is required to support, communicate compliance, and would participate in supporting implementation with the senior Management Team.
Carry out other administrative duties as required including shift allocation, to ensure the smooth operation of the Out of Hours service.
Be responsible for managing and prioritising your own workload in order to meet strict deadlines. To work autonomously within the scope of the Job Description. Works independently and is managed rather than supervised.
Makes proposals on Information Management and Technology systems (IM&T). Reports on, implements and advises on procedures for the use of IT systems, e.g., Adastra/Power BI or any other IT system as per service needs. Develops SOPs for Operational staff to provide educational information to support service delivery.
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 12,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. 47 general practices (6 of which are managed practices), 45 dental practices (including 4 orthodontic), 96 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
