Job Description

So, we are seeking a confident and enthusiastic person who share our values – Think Sharp, Dig In and Care - to join our high performing team. Reporting to the Safety Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, including input into safety related strategy and the implementation and delivery of projects to ensure legal and company compliance and improve the safety performance across our complex.

About the Role

  • You will play an important role in educating and influencing key internal stakeholders with regards to the development and improvement of the safety and health management system compliance and have oversight of the internal and external assurance program ensuring alignment with HVO values and overall business direction.

Roster and Location

  • Monday to Friday professional roster
  • Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

About You

  • The ability to develop executive level communication materials, including business case and project reporting.
  • The ability to think outside the square and deliver innovative solutions
  • The ability to work with the senior leadership team to influence and support a positive response to systems, compliance and assurance through the development and implementation of related projects
  • Effective planning and negotiation skills.
  • High computer literacy skills
  • Sound knowledge of statutory rules and regulations relating to WHS.
  • The ability to establish and maintain strong, effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Tertiary Qualifications in work health and safety, risk management or a related discipline
  • Auditor qualification (desirable)
