• You are an AS400 expert with solid experience running, tuning and building AS400 systems in large organisations/corporations preferably in financial institutions

As part of the Specialised Compute Services team, your role ensures services meet the ongoing technology requirements for customers, business, projects, and IT&T stakeholders. You will be delivering on everyday outstanding engineering & hosting outcomes while modernising and enhancing the AS400 platform. You will be a supporter for building others skills and supporting the wider team in helping run these platforms while also delivering on engineering capability to the wide-ranging midrange portfolio. Your deliverables will focus on infrastructure stability, productivity and innovation targets.

• Infrastructure & Hosting Engineering & Delivery of the i-series platform owning all technical and infrastructure aspects of the hosting solution.
• Researching, designing, implementing and managing hosting solutions, as well as identifying areas for improvement in existing hosting solutions and subsequently developing these improvements.
• Writing and implementing efficient automation code and determining operational practicality and creating technical documentation related to system configuration and operation
• Maintaining, upgrading and Troubleshooting existing systems
• Testing and evaluating new hardware platforms, introducing and integrate new technologies into infrastructure
• Managing risk across a highly leveraged, diverse portfolio with both internal/external stakeholders, being able to work closely with other engineers, product owners and users.
