The department “AGE Development” of Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is looking for a
SYSTEMS ENGINEER ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS (D/M/F)
The department “AGE Development” within “Weapon System Integration Rigs” in the centre of competence “A/C Rigs, Benches & Simulation” at Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is responsible for development, qualification and certification of Aircraft Ground Equipment (AGE) and Workshop Test and Ground Equipment (WSTGE), also called Ground Support and Test Equipment (GSE/GSTE).
We deliver everything from concept design, detailed design, development and qualification of test facilities up to in-service and operating. Our main customer aircraft programs are Eurofighter, Tornado, A400M unmanned aircraft (Eurodrone) and Future Combat Air System (FCAS).
We are looking for an employee (d/m/f) for the development and systems engineering of electrical test systems, which are hardened to be used within rough environmental conditions (e.g. shock, vibration, humidity, dust, sand, hot and cold temperatures, etc.)
We are open to good suggestions to position ourselves better here, as long as it serves the purpose. The projects mostly relate to measurement and control technology and automation technology, as well as communication via digital buses (e.g. MIL-STD-1553A). Hardened, automated test systems are usually developed for ON and OFF aircraft applicability.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of preparing electrical drawings, harness drawings and switch cabinet drawings
- Basic knowledge of analog and digital circuit technology is desirable
- Business fluent in German and English

Responsibilities:
- Development of system architecture for electronic hardware
- Circuit diagrams and harness drawings for MIL cables and electrical structures, as well as definitions of suitable test procedures
- Execution of tests
- Integration of the modules into the overall system, as well as doing the verification and validation of the test results
- Creation of documentation
- Ensuring qualification processes and quality standards
- Development schematics and drawings with tools such as Capital/Capital Harness and TE Harnware
- Design and implementation of module/system tests during the integration and qualification phase of the overall system
- Preparation of system and sub-system specifications, including traceability matrices with tools such as IBM Rational Doors.
