Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead the execution of Human Factors Engineering activities. For LOTE, this includes the elicitation of end-user requirements, as well as assessments including but not limited to: physical anthropometrics, MIL-STD-1472, task analyses, operational environment, habitability, workload, behavioural and situation awareness.
  • Maintenance of the LOTE Human Engineering Program Report.
  • Maintenance of the LOTE Human Engineering Program Schedule, which includes conducting scoping activities and estimating resource requirements.
  • Participate in LOTE Mandated System Reviews (MSRs).
  • Maintenance of the Human Factors Engineering Issues Register/s.
  • Support other Human Factors Engineers by providing technical guidance, direction, and reviews of work completed.
  • Support the Updates and Upgrades Projects as and when required.
  • Manage and maintain working relationships with all project stakeholders, both internal and external to ASC. This includes facilitating Human Engineering Working Groups with the Commonwealth of Australia and the Royal Australian Navy.
  • Perform reviews of documentation and deliverables as they relate to Human Factors Engineering.
  • Manage requirements as they relate to Human Factors Engineering.
