Description:

Overview:
Expleo Engineering UK has world class experts in the provision of real-time embedded systems, specialising in safety critical control systems. To continue to grow the business we are now looking for experienced System Engineering, specifically within the Requirements, Verification and Validation remit, to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate our customers‘ vision into clear and concise user, business, and product requirements.
  • Senior System verification Engineer to develop test solutions for functional verification and/or Requirements validation
  • Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) updates.
  • Functional Hazard Assessment SFHA updates.
  • Preliminary System Safety Assessment (PSSA) linking of SFHA to requirements updates.
  • Common Mode Analysis (CMA) (2025 onwards).
  • Knowledge of JIRA would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of Requirements Management in DOORs.
  • Work collaboratively with all our engineering teams to clarify work packages, manage trade studies and resolve engineering issues.
  • In addition to project responsibility, you will play a key role in developing our systems engineering capability more widely.
  • Helping us pivot our focus from products to product platforms to maximise reuse of engineering effort.
  • Providing targeted engineering services & consultancy to our customer base to enhance their use of systems engineering or resolve specific technical challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Incorporated or Chartered Engineer or have evidence of progress towards Professional Registration with a PEI.
  • Experienced in Defence / Aerospace / Marine or safety regulated environments.

Essential skills:

  • Ability to communicate intent & practical application of MBSE architectural design approaches for the development of complex systems.
  • Experience of using/applying system architecture modelling frameworks & languages.
  • Experience of elaborating abstract concepts in an MBSE environment.
  • Ability to breakdown conceptual models into individual sub-system & component models.
  • Operate effectively on ambiguous early-stage projects.
  • Can be any of the above in a analysis lead or assisting of others role.

On site working is required Tue to Thurs every other week,

Experience:

  • Practical, relevant experience in a product development environment performing similar roles.
  • Expertise in requirements engineering
  • Experience of applying system engineering toolsets and paradigms such as IBM DOORS, MBSE, V & V, etc
  • 5 years’ Experience of Verification and Validation techniques in an aerospace environment.
  • A Hardware/ Electrical Background would be advantageous.
  • A Basic knowledge of Python would be useful.
  • Understanding of Requirements Management in DOORs.
  • Experience of using JIRA as a task management tool is desirable.
  • ONC / HNC / Engineering degree qualified
  • UK SC cleared
  • Sole UK national
