Now you have the chance, as Ballard Power Systems Europe is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our System Engineering in our Technology and Product Development Department with primary base at our facilities in Hobro. As a System Engineer you will become a part of a dedicated team with five other system engineers, who are reporting directly to the Manager of Systems Engineering.
As a Systems Engineer your primary assignment is to break down customers’ needs into realizable solutions and defining detailed product requirements. You will be defining main functions and interfaces for a product or a feature so that the project teams can subsequently design, implement, test, and release new products and solutions.
You will both be involved in maintenance of current solutions, but also continuous improvement and impact on future constructions, as you will participate in entire product life cycles from prototype to production and be a support in regard to key decisions, reviews, tests etc. to ensure the technical quality and the link to the product requirements documents.
You will be responsible for:
- Defining product requirements, main functions, sub-systems, and components.
- Handling Changes and new feature improvements of existing products
- Breaking down requirements into functions and subtasks.
- Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system design weaknesses.
- Influencing the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework used across multiple products or systems.
- Elaborating relevant product documentation, boundary diagrams, risk assessment, FMEA, etc.
- Performing trade-off studies for different system configurations and operating strategies.
- Ensuring safety in products related to gas, pressure, mechanic, and electricity .
