ABOUT THE ROLE

Lead the Systems Engineering team to oversee the delivery of the Systems Engineering Program for the Cross River Rail Project where activities are primarily performed by our contracting delivery partners, suppliers and key interfacing parties such as the Next Generation Rolling Stock Project.
The role requires extensive stakeholder management and collaboration with external stakeholders and internal project teams to ensure the execution of systems engineering activities in alignment with project obligations to achieve integrated delivery within set timelines. You will draw upon your rich experience in rail systems engineering on major projects to provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders to support decision making and the application of industry best practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead, manage and mentor the Systems Engineering team including providing development opportunities and performance management.
• Contribute to the development and review of technical /engineering requirements, specifications and systems engineering solutions to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and safety regulations.
• Participate in review meetings with project stakeholders, facilitating the understanding and application of Systems Assurance.
• Report on technical system engineering reviews, ensuring fulfillment of entry and exit criteria.
• Prepare briefing notes and position papers to support decision-making processes.
• Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the project’s operating model enhancement.
