QUALIFICATIONS

• Driver’s License and ability to drive in the Greater Toronto Area
• Bachelors’ Degree, Engineering (Telecommunications/Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in system’s construction, T&C, or Closeout.
• Understanding and ability to read engineering design drawings (IFCs)
• Experience with transit, control, or communication systems installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, lifecycle management and interfacing with different subcontractors/trades.
• Experience with field verification reports preparation and documenting evidence of works completion.
• Excellent communication, inter-personal skills, teamwork and collaborative abilities.
• Proven ability to multi-task and organize in order to meet tight deadlines.
• Proven documentation writing skills
• Experience in supervision of data collection, data analysis and reporting.

Reporting to the Systems Manager or Senior Manager, in this position you shall be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Support Systems team acting as an interface between the design team and vendor to support the installation, T&C, and Closeout of transit systems.
• Support Systems construction Closeout for Stations, Stops, Traction Power Sub-stations, Maintenance & Storage facilities and Control Centres in accordance with Project requirements.
• Analyze construction design drawings and prepare/review subcontractor’s installation works, PICOs, and Quality checklists for Closeout work packages.
• Manage subcontractor’s work on daily bases and coordinate with various sub-contractors to resolve and close Systems construction, Commissioning, and Quality deficiencies.
• Support the project Closeout team with the effort of closeout work package documents, closure by arranging workshops with vendors, subcontractors, quality, T&C and track open actions and closure of the actions.
• Assist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, and requests for information (RFIs).
• Monitoring and report performance against schedule, technical quality, financial and other Key Performance Indicators.
