Description:
The Technological Foundation Transportation and Event Flow Transformation is in charge of various cross-sector platforms that offer high-volume event data streaming and processing capabilities. As a cross-sector team, we work with all application development projects at Desjardins to deliver modern, high-performance platforms in line with project needs.
As a systems integration analyst for event streaming platforms (Kafka), you analyze the needs of various projects wanting to tap into event streaming capabilities and propose priorities, integration recipes and configurations to put data processing flows in place. You work closely with the platform’s development team and architect to communicate development needs and unsatisfactory use cases. You update documents, recipes and training tools to help architects and internal project developers learn more about our solutions. You’re an open-minded, curious team player person who likes to learn, help others and excel on a daily basis. More specifically, you will be required to :
- Help architects and project developers understand our platform’s features and capabilities
- Propose integration solutions based on documented recipes, services and patterns
- Support the Fondation TTFE with architecture reviews, work stories and related estimates, and deliveries to production environments
- Analyze complex issues, determine their causes and publish them in the relevant journals (backlog)
- Promote and explain the platform by holding technical project launch sessions or workshops specific to your platform and area

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in technology, software engineering or a related field
- At least 4 years of relevant experience in developing applications or integrating business solutions/systems
- Demonstrated experience with event data streaming platforms (Apache Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ)
- Experience integrating multiple database systems (relational and non-relational)
- Experience with Agility (Scrum and Kanban practices), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of French is required
- Solid understanding of RESTful API concepts and of the security associated with these protocols
- Good general knowledge of cloud computing services (IaaS, PaaS, CaaS)
