Description:

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires a System Safety or risk assessment qualification(s).
  • Desirable to have Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) and/or Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) qualification(s).
  • Desirable to have familiarity with systems engineering tools such as DOORS
  • Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in carrying out hazard identification and analysis tasks including:
  • Preliminary Hazard Analysis
  • Health Hazard Analysis
  • Operation Support Hazard Analysis
  • Sub System Hazard Analysis
  • System Hazard Analysis
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to solve complex problems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contribute to System Safety Programs and to overall product Safety Cases.
  • Contribute to the completion of program milestones.
  • Conduct system safety analysis and deliver associated system safety deliverables in accordance with the agreed schedule.
  • Conduct reviews of supplier safety analysis and liaise with suppliers on system safety related matters.
  • Populate the hazard tracking system and manage the associated data.
  • Assist with the planning, co-ordination, and conduct of system safety working groups.
  • Provide status and estimate remaining effort for assigned tasks.
  • Identify and escalate risks using defined processes.
  • Provide support to design reviews throughout the product lifecycle.
