JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Advanced Lead Systems Engineer to join our team in Cheltenham, UK. The ideal candidate will lead and work within a team responsible for verifying complex aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. The role requires a deep understanding of aerospace regulations, communication protocols, electrical engineering principles, and project management methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of leading teams through complex projects.
- Deep understanding of ARP4754 guidelines and other relevant aerospace regulations.
- Proficiency in communication protocols such as RS485, CAN, ARINC-429, and Ethernet.
- Experience working in high-voltage environments, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.
- Knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies, with experience leading teams in agile environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and protocol analysers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
- Manages product and systems requirements, specifications and flow down. Drives validation and verification activities for the overall product/system, including system level testing.
- Manages interface between components and execution organizations.
- Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses judgment to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles.
- Demonstrate proficiency in high-voltage environments, applying electrical engineering principles to ensure the safety and reliability of systems.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, promoting the adoption of agile and scrum methodologies for project execution.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers, to drive successful project outcomes.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies
