Description:

INTRODUCTION

The V&V Engineer is responsible for supporting the team lead in managing, planning, leading and reporting of Integration, V+V, Test and QA activities of an assigned project/programme with our client’s Defence portfolio.
You will work across the whole engineering lifecycle, to quantify/provide evidence that supports compliance of our client’s products to their associated requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity to step up and take responsibility for deliverables on an assigned project, along with leading and coaching the junior team members. Candidates will need to have experience of the whole systems lifecycle.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in Integration, Verification & Validation Engineering or Systems Engineering role.
  • Competent in the use of DOORS or similar requirements management tool.
  • Desirable experience within with Military/Defence/Industry Standards.
  • Verification management tool experience (test campaigns) and reporting associated metrics.
  • Fault diagnostic skills including fault identification, management, remediation measures and reporting.
  • High standard of technical writing to produce documentation (Plans, Processes, Procedures, Reports).
  • Experience leading/supporting teams is desirable.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development and maintenance of V&V documentation.
  • Implement V&V tasks.
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing all assigned tasking so are in accordance with the budget and timescales.
  • Delivering Integration, V&V, Test and QA activities into multi-disciplined project teams.
  • Personal Line Management tasks, which includes timesheet completion and Training/Personal development.
  • Attend and input department via cascade meetings.
  • Comply and implement all policies, processes and procedures relating to Line Management and Technical delivery.
  • Provide support, supervision and guidance of junior team members.
  • Facilitate responses to technical requirements/issues/activities.
