T-1 Maintenance Instrumentation Technician - 12-month term
Ideal candidate must be able to Troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and install equipment to manufacture specifications and industry best practices while adhering to Mosaic OH&S requirements. The employee must be able to identify the steps, materials and hazards associated with the completion of their tasks and apply appropriate controls to best mitigate the hazards. They are also required to document and provide feedback to the planning group around job steps, materials and follow up work. They will be working closely with the refinery operations and production crews, refinery maintenance crews, and planning group to ensure that there is effective communication and coordination.
Incumbents must have a good understanding of all aspects of the instrumentation trade, and have experience working safely within an industral setting. They also must have the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and enthusiastic.
What you’ll do?
- Work individually and as a team to troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate various instrumentation equipment on our existing assets - troubleshooting, problem solving, and attention to detail required.
- Install and partake in commissioning new instrumentation on new or existing equipment to manufacturer standards.
- Participate in Mosaic’s safety culture (Action Based Safety - SABER, and Intelex reporting - hazard identification and reporting).
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and testing.
- Work closely with operations to understand process conditions and get feedback on troubleshooting / installation tasks.
What you’ll need:
- Previous experience in an industrial setting is a bonus.
- Red seal in Instrumentation and Control Technician preferred - encourage any apprentice levels to apply.
- Must be a team player. Must be able to work with a partner or alone.
