Description:

Are you looking for a role that will challenge you? Our Talent team is looking for a strategic influencer who sees CNL as their customer, the hiring manager as their partner, and speed, quality, and diversity as their measures of success. You will work closely with Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) and hiring managers to plan and execute a talent acquisition strategy that drives a memorable candidate experience and a strong employer brand in the market. This role will have you continually develop and nurture trusting relationships with potential hires and internal stakeholders while striving to deliver a timely experience. Can you see yourself contributing to creating a strong talent pipeline for CNL’s current and future hiring needs? If so, apply today!

What will you be doing!

  • Full-cycle recruitment for open positions & potential future vacancies including advertising, recruiting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, assessing, salary recommendation preparation, offer letter preparation and offer negotiation to ensure highly qualified interested candidates are brought on board to CNL.
  • Developing strategic recruitment plans by assessing requirements in consultation with HRBP’s and internal clients; including selection of the most appropriate recruiting tools to source and recruitment strategies to find the best candidates.
  • Working closely with HRBP’s to address talent gaps and proactively support those gaps by looking at retirement plans, student planning etc.
  • Sourcing and planning ahead through prospecting talent for key positions and creating talent pools within our network. Work closely with the HRBP’s to execute against a Talent Acquisition Strategy and revise and tweak as needed.
  • Collaborating with the HRBP’s and HR analytics team to enhance recruitment efficiencies and provide a tailored analysis to CNL clients on recruitment metrics within their Mission and departments.
  • Sitting in on manager-level and above interviews with the hiring panel to provide HR support.
  • Contributing to the ongoing evolution of CNL’s talent acquisition strategy; always striving for continuous improvement and to position CNL as an employer of choice.
  • Collaborating with other members of the Human Resources Team on various projects.
  • Leading and/or participating in CNL projects that enhance the Talent Acquisition processes, systems, and capability.
  • Supporting, organize and attend career fairs, job fairs, job pools and recruiting events.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who has the ability to:
  • Establish a strong candidate experience with a high volume of candidates, clearly communicate CNL’s employee value proposition to them and negotiate an offer to bring the best talent on board.
  • Navigate and create a consultative approach to working with hiring managers, directors, and HRBPs regarding hiring needs and recruitment strategy.
  • Surmise the urgency of filling requests to hires from clients while showcasing the skills to keep all internal parties looped in.
  • Use their effective verbal and written communication skills to persuade, influence, or educate various audiences (e.g., senior management or executive-level reporting/presentations, business unit managers).
  • Utilise their comprehensive knowledge of sourcing best practices and candidate sourcing channels to enable strategic headhunting and networking in recruitment circles.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in high-volume full cycle (end to end) recruitment.
  • Experience recruiting in a unionized environment and the ability to read and interpret collective agreements.
  • Experience in an agency and in-house recruiting.
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing strategic recruitment initiatives.
  • Expert in sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, etc.
  • Proficiency with using and administering an Applicant Tracking System (Taleo is an asset).
  • Education:
  • Completion of a University degree or college diploma in the field of Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work well under pressure and remain calm during high-volume periods.
