Description:

TALENT ACQUISITION. RECRUITMENT ADVISOR. TALENT PARTNER. INTERNAL RECRUITER.

These are all job titles you will see in this space. At the end of the day, it’s the work that matters - the relationships you build, the experience you provide and outcomes you achieve.
Our business is surprisingly diverse (hint: read “About us” below!) and as a Talent Acquisition Advisor, your role will be to partner with our leaders as they look to hire the best talent for their teams. You could work across the whole organisation - from engineers and accountants to customer service, sales, trades and truck drivers - you will get to see it all. We are a team, so while you may end up specialising in some areas, we back each other up and learn the whole business. To give you the full experience of internal recruitment, you’ll also play a role in our annual recruitment campaigns for Graduates and Apprentices.
The attitude and approach you bring is of just as much value as your experience. Your ability to connect and engage positively with people of all levels is a priority, as is your talent for providing an exceptional experience to both candidates and hiring managers. Your flexible approach, ability to adapt and results focus are qualities that will mesh very well with our team.

ABOUT US:

An icon of the Australian cement industry, Cement Australia is the nation’s leading supplier of cementitious products and services. Whilst cement is in the name, the business portfolio is diverse, comprising a series of heavy industrial manufacturing operations, coal and limestone mines, bulk distribution transport fleet, rail and shipping interactions and hazardous waste treatment and alternative fuel production (Geocycle).
As an organisation, we offer our employees work-life balance, a close-knit and collaborative team whilst providing you with the tools and opportunity to make your mark. Our vision is to create a safe, healthy, productive and sustainable business and we are looking for like-minded professionals who align with our company values.

Responsibilities:

Reporting into the Talent Partner, at a high level your role will be to:

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop a strong understanding of their roles, team and culture and provide quality recruitment advice, guidance and recommendations
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for your roles and provide input into larger campaigns. Get creative if you need to!
  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process for your roles
  • Build and maintain pipelines of potential candidates for your key roles and locations
  • Provide a positive candidate experience, no matter what stage of the process they reach
  • Support the Graduate and Apprentice recruitment campaigns
  • Collaborate with HR generalists and other People & Capability team members on talent, remuneration and onboarding
  • Lead or contribute to talent acquisition projects
  • Interviews for this role will commence in July 2024
