JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

As part of the OhioHealth Talent Acquisition team, the Consultant role is primarily responsible for recruiting roles within one or more functional areas. Occasionally, the Consultant may be expected to recruit roles that are of an elevated visibility, high volume, and/or difficult-to-fill, through the execution of local and national recruiting plans, employment of contemporary sourcing strategies and resources, and utilization of new, creative recruitment approaches. This role will execute searches against agreed upon timelines, set benchmarks, and utilize metrics to prioritize their work. They will play a critical role to ensure OhioHealth hires the best possible talent and becomes an employer of choice in the healthcare market.
Additionally, this role may contribute to process improvement exercises and work enhancement projects, nurture strategic partnerships and internal-external relationships, and act as a recruitment subject matter expert to business leaders, focusing on areas of market intelligence and benchmarking, strategic recruitment best practice, diverse sourcing, pipeline performance metrics, and candidate experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree and 2 – 4 years of experience in recruiting
Field of Study: Human Resources or a related field

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

  • 2+ years corporate, full life cycle recruitment, closing candidates and negotiating offers.
  • Experience building partnerships within HR and across business functions, as well as relevant entities outside the organization to strengthen candidate pipelines.
  • Strong client focus and commitment to continuous improvement, always pursuing new sourcing strategies, and developing creative approaches to deliver quality candidates to the customer.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches, projects, and client relationships, as well as, building reports and utilizing a variety of recruiting plans and tools.
  • Passion for championing the human capital agenda, particularly as it relates to diversity, equity, and inclusion of an organization, with a proven track record of diverse talent placement success.
  • Develops recommendations and implements solutions to promote ongoing improvements to OhioHealth’s recruitment process, based on client needs.
  • Demonstrates recruitment, branding, and networking excellence, utilizing all available online capabilities (LinkedIn, Indeed, Instagram, Facebook), and existing industry best practices.
  • Navigates through ambiguous and complex situations with confidence and professionalism – influences and negotiates diplomatically and fairly across customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent teamwork and customer service skills, collaborating effectively across internal partnerships and showing professionalism through verbal and written communication.
  • Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills with appropriate attention to detail, creating, measuring, and scaling the workflow between candidates, hiring managers, and recruitment partners.
  • Self-sufficient and able to work with minimal direct supervision and can operate successfully in a team environment.
  • Knowledgeable about state and federal employment laws, EEO.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruits for a portion of OhioHealth’s business, often within a single functional area, though potentially within multiple smaller functional areas. Ensures near-, mid-, and long-term pipeline health either through direct action or using trusted, external partners.
  • Develops robust, multi-channel search strategies that will attract high quality talent. Individually and in partnership with team members, builds talent networks and develops trusted relationships across the organization.
  • Executes recruitment lifecycle from hiring manager intake to completion, to include refining job descriptions to attract the right candidates, rapidly dispositioning applicants to discover those most qualified, succinct and structured candidate screening to vet qualifications, delivering a quality slate of diverse candidates to hiring managers for further interviewing and selection, pay negotiations with selected candidates, and seamless pass-off from candidate experience to associate experience as part of employee onboarding.
  • Creates and executes staffing strategies to deliver innovative and diverse candidate pools. Sources and attracts candidates through networking, direct approach, referrals, university relations, etc. Ensures inclusion in the hiring process and that candidate pipelines are as representative of the talent market as possible.
  • Delivers the OhioHealth recruitment experience and acts as a candidate advocate, evaluating skill level, managing the offer process, salary recommendations, offer acceptance/declines, etc.
  • Maintains data on candidate pipeline health and applicant flow to deliver regular reports as requested by pipeline, TA, or business leadership.
  • Recommends continuous improvement opportunities with the candidate and hiring manager experiences to pipeline and TA leadership.
  • Partners with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a fundamental understanding of return on investment.
  • Participates in special projects/recruiting initiatives where requested. Manages time and effort across hiring projects to concurrently ensure completion of daily work.
  • Seeks professional growth and development by meeting the requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency, certification, and support department-based goals, which contribute to the success of the TA mission.
