POSITION SUMMARY

Magellan Aerospace, Corporate has an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Manager, reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources. The Talent Acquision Manager will lead global recruitment activities and manage the field recruiters in day-to-day recruitment, advertising and placements. The incumbant will participate in the full recruitment life cyle, from sourcing to selection, and will collaborate with hiring managers and the Human Resources (HR) Department to gain an understanding of teh best-fit applicants for Magellan. Demonstrated analytical ability, interpersonal skills, knowledge of HR and recruitment, and experience identifying top candidates will make the individual in this role successful. Proactivie in developing new ideas and solutions to attract candiudates globally.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Colege diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Commerce or Psychology or an industry related field.
  • Minimum 5-years related work experience in human resources recruitment role within a staffing agency or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Experience using social media outlets for recruitment, such as LinkedIn, Indeed, Twitter, etc.
  • Working technical knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Knowledge of relevant Labour and Employment Law legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a global recruitment & selection strategy, and ensure alignment with Magellan’s overall goals and values. Conduct and/or oversee all global recruitment related activities to ensure positions are filled in a timely manner.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels to drive the global recruitment & selection strategy. Establish and maintain relationships with relevant colleges, universities, professional associations, and other partners, including search firms and temporary hire agencies. Coordinate and participate in external recruitment events (e.g. campus fairs, job fairs, and networking events).
  • Maintain a pipeline of active and passive candidates through sourcing strategy implementation for senior and critical roles. Identify best channels for internal and external advertising of job vacancies, including internal job boards, professional associations, external job boards, social media outlets, and recruitment events.
  • Ensure compliance of hiring practices with all local legislation and regulations. Approve job postings ensuring they accurately reflect job requirements and Magellan culture. Perform required administrative duties and responsibilites related to new hire, including offer letters, background checks, new hire documentation etc.
  • Measure recruitment practices against recruitnt metrics, analyze for gaps, and develop innovative solutions. Advise hiring managers on interviewing methods and talent acquisiton best practices. Maintain communication with applicants and hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Manage budget of recruitment activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for career and application inquiries, ensuring the highest level of quality and customer service for candidate interaction. May be required to facilitate onboarding/orientation programs for new employees.
