ABOUT THE ROLE
This position is responsible for building and maintaining a sourcing strategy to enable a robust pipeline of talented and qualified active and passive candidates for senior and specialized vacancies. Proactively seeks out, engages, and fosters ongoing communication and relationships of an active network of top talent through various recruitment channels and promotes the York Region brand at targeted events, associations, and organizations. Provides specialized sourcing support to develop connections and foster a sense of belonging with various outreach communities to build a diverse and representative talent pool.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Leverages deep research techniques to source, engage and assess top talent using a variety of recruitment channels.
- Develops and maintains a robust and diverse sourcing strategy including the building of pipelines to maintain an engaged pool of candidates.
- Focuses on building our employer brand through networking with passive and active candidates, industry experts, and diverse outreach programs, using best-in-class sourcing practices, while ensuring exceptional and timely customer experience.
- Partners with Recruiters and Hiring Managers across teams to understand hiring needs and the requirements of talent, now and for the future, to attract smart, diverse and innovative talent.
- Creates talent maps and analyzes recruitment trends to understand the competitive landscape better and drives the talent strategy.
- Support and foster a culture which builds accessibility, diversity, equity and inclusion into all practices and supporting IDEA initiatives and creating intentional connections to minority and other community groups.
- Builds and maintains candidate pipelines for various evergreen roles across the business.
- Provides a positive candidate experience through effective candidate management and by maintaining appropriate communication throughout the process.
- Provides regular, relevant reporting on market trends, resourcing statistics and benchmark progress.
