Description:

Bayshore Healthcare - Integrated Care Solutions is currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to Support the recruitment strategy for a growing Operations. The Talent Acquisition Specialist, under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for delivering all recruitment needs of the business. This will be achieved through the development and execution of community recruitment strategy based on various sourcing strategies. The TA Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the division has the right mix of regulated and unregulated caregivers to meet the staffing needs and objectives as well as support in admin staffing as per the business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management
  • CHRP preferred
    Experience
    A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant previous experience as Talent Acquisition Specialist is preferred. Health Care Industry experience would be asset

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience implementing successful fresh innovative approaches to talent acquisition
  • Previous experience with Applicant Tracking systems (ATS)
  • Proficient in sourcing techniques and social media (LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications and Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Knowledge of employment law related to recruitment.
  • Effective influencing and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively provide timely communication at all levels of the organization
  • Team player, who can collaborate well with others and also work independently with little direction or supervision
  • Self-directed and solution oriented with a strong work ethic

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a small recruitment team of 1-2 Recruiters and provide, coaching, training and performance management to enable the needs of the Division.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager and Director Human Resources to develop and execute a solid recruitment strategy in order to meet the volume of business.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with hiring managers to ensure a solid understanding of current and future recruitment needs
  • Act as a leader within recruitment team and come up with proactive and innovative strategies to attract and develop a pipeline of talented candidates for corporate administrative roles.
  • Facilitate the process to post vacancies in online venues, organizations and other venues as deemed appropriate.
  • Lead the interviewing process to fill open positions efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates for both regulated and unregulated health care professional and possibly administrative roles in advance of need.
  • Network through local contacts, association membership, conferences, educational institution, social media and active employees
  • Represent and promote Bayshore’s brand and value proposition at external recruitment events in a positive and professional manner.
  • Responsible for new hire administration and orientation completion in alignment with recruitment priorities.
  • Align with the national diversity policy and adapt HR strategies in order to integrate this into sourcing and recruitment strategy.
  • Prioritize recruitment needs of ICS based on guidance from Area Director and/or Regional Operations Director to ensure staffing capacity is equal to client care volumes.
  • Thoroughly screen candidates while adhering to Bayshore Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding policies and standards, including but not limited to, referencing, security and vulnerable sector screening (where required).
  • Extend offers and negotiate (where appropriate) in alignment with the branch needs.
  • Monitor retention of new hires and understand reasons for turnover in order to incorporate this in the recruitment/retention strategy.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the company’s Quality Management System.
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
  • Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.

  • Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
  • Complete other duties as requested.
  • Draft, create and post job requisitions as required in relation to job vacancies
