Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • College Recruitment Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive college recruitment strategy to attract top talent for internships and entry-level positions in the construction industry.
  • Internship Program Management: Lead and execute the company’s internship program, including recruitment, selection, and program coordination.
  • Project Site Hiring: Collaborate with business units and project managers to understand hiring needs and execute recruitment strategies for project location roles.
  • Corporate Office Hiring: Partner with hiring managers in corporate departments to identify staffing needs and recruit qualified candidates for office-based positions. Identify training needs for business units, allowing HR to partner for extended recruiting efforts.
  • Travel to Career Fairs: Represent the company at college career fairs and industry events to promote job opportunities and build relationships with prospective candidates.
  • Social Media Recruiting: Utilize social media platforms to attract candidates, promote job openings, and enhance the company’s employer brand within the construction industry.
  • High-Volume Recruiting: Manage a high volume of recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various roles.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with university career centers, student organizations, and industry associations to support college recruitment efforts.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to recruiting and hiring practices.
  • Works with HR leadership to track and analyze talent acquisition and management metrics and recommends solutions supporting Caddell’s Strategic Plan and Company Mission.
  • Performs a variety of other Human Resources initiatives as requested by HR leadership, as well as other senior leadership.
  • Working Conditions – Office setting, heavy travel during Feb and Sept for college recruiting required, full-time

Education / Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree or certification is a plus. 2+ years of Human Resources experience, focusing on corporate recruiting strategy and implementation. Preferred Experience: working on complex, cross-department teams; working for a federal contractor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders. Experience with social media recruiting platforms and techniques. Ability to manage multiple recruiting initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Ability to interact with all levels of staff. Willingness to travel extensively for college career fairs and recruiting events. Knowledge of recruiting best practices and employment laws and regulations. Ability to properly prioritize and execute competing projects. Ability to work independently, and as part of a group, to accomplish individual and team objectives.
Prefer experience recruiting within the construction industry, including college recruitment, project site hiring, and corporate office hiring—strong understanding of construction recruiting practices, including knowledge of trade skills and industry terminology.
While the salary range is typically between $69,875 - $93,200 annually, applicants are encouraged to share compensation expectations as part of the application process. Caddell honors applicants’ prior experience, education, and qualifications to make attractive and competitive offers.
