The Talent Acquisition Specialist (TAS) provides expertise through consultation, sourcing, and selection of quality candidates from internal and external talent pools. As a central point of contact, the TAS partners with managers and builds capability by guiding them through the hiring process, ensuring their needs are met and the candidates experience an efficient and respectful process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree / College Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of full cycle recruitment experience
  • CHRL and RPR designation(s) are considered an asset
  • Demonstrated success in developing a talent network for future opportunities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates professionalism with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Focus on accuracy and high quality work with a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legislation governing recruitment activities
  • Strong time management skills with ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding work environment while remaining positive and focused
  • Proven ability to provide quality service to internal and external customers
  • Problem solving and analytical skills

  • Penchant for technology; internet savvy, proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems

Responsibilities:

  • Consult - With hiring managers, provide value added recruitment services including sourcing strategies, job posting tactics, interpretation of candidate assessments, interviewing best practices, and suitable compensation recommendations;
  • Source - Engage proven and innovative talent sourcing methods to source top notch A Player candidates and develop a future pipeline, including but not limited to: networking, job boards, social media, digital media, career fairs, agencies and campus recruitment while preserving the Company’s brand; Screen, interview and present top candidates to the hiring manager for interviews; Ensure a robust candidate talent pipeline within the applicant tracking system, updating the system with all candidate activity, accurately and timely to support sourcing, selection, reporting and talent planning;
  • Measure - Benchmark Talent Acquisition Partner Commitments through key success measures, such as time-to-fill, candidate experience, and hiring manager satisfaction;
  • Contribute - Build awareness, know-how, and capability of hiring managers by teaching them the A Player hiring method; Take on special projects that enhance process, systems, and capability; Support ongoing performance and growth of team members.
