Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the growth of Guardian Chemicals by sourcing, attracting, screening, and ultimately placing talent within the company where there are needs. They will spearhead the employee brand to support and market our company culture.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be responsible for identifying and mapping short-, medium- and long-term company needs in collaboration with senior management and managers to support the company’s growth initiatives and talent requirements. With this information, you will structure a talent acquisition strategy and be responsible for executing that strategy. This process will include developing the employee brand and doing the required networking to establish the connections and value proposition necessary to attract and source top quality candidates. You will use the Guardian hiring process and be responsible for screening, due diligence, drafting offer letters, onboarding and offboarding candidates and employees. The successful candidate will be given wide latitude in their ability to drive talent acquisition.

What Success Looks Like

  • By 6 months - You will have short- and medium-term talent acquisition plans complete and in execution phase. Proven ability to source and attract top-tier talent for required open positions.
  • By 12 months – Long-term talent acquisition plan complete including employee brand vision and clear funnel of long-term talent identified.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelors level degree in Business or Psychology with an HR specialization is preferred.
  • Experience in the recruitment industry or as a recruiter for an industrial manufactuing and sales company is an asset.
  • Be fluent in oral and written English and have excellent communication skills.
  • Be able to legally work in Canada.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to get multiple tasks done within a workday.
  • Ability to effectively manage and work with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving, decision making and time management skills.
  • Ability to assimilate, analyze and facilitate information sharing.
  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft 365)
  • Efficient work habits.
