Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

At komoot, we’ve rewritten the playbook for hiring and invite you to join us! Since embracing a fully remote model in 2017, komoot has scaled from 24 to a vibrant team of 130+ employees spanning over 20 nationalities – all united in their love of helping others explore the outdoors.
We have a dynamic and decentralized system with autonomous hiring teams. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will provide critical recruiting support to our agile hiring teams, enabling them to hire the right talent. You’ll do this by posting jobs, organizing interviews, setting up systems, creating interview guides, and sending employment contracts. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating and optimizing the hiring process. You’ll guide the teams and the candidates throughout the journey, and you’ll be the force behind creating a warm, engaging, and rewarding experience.
We’re seeking someone who views the TA function as a product and is excited to create seamless, scalable, and sustainable hiring solutions that grow with komoot. Your responsibilities extend beyond pure recruitment – you’re here to guide our hiring leads by helping them refine their recruitment skills and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll also develop and train hiring teams at komoot.
Join hands with Rémi, Katy, Nati, Maria, and Rebecca. Together, you’ll accompany komoot through its next phase, ensuring that as we evolve, we bring in the best talent to accomplish our goals.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Shadow, learn, and ultimately take ownership of the hiring process on an operational level, from creating the job descriptions to advertising and closing the role.
  • Work closely with (15+) hiring teams to ensure smooth collaboration and support the entire end-to-end recruitment process of tech, non-tech, and leadership roles.
  • Act as a hands-on recruitment partner – supporting, advising, and educating our decentralized, autonomous hiring teams during the hiring process.
  • Ensure recruitment operations processes are optimized and non-bureaucratic, and remove roadblocks by implementing incremental improvements.
  • Design and lead valuable workshops to increase hiring leads’ recruitment skills and confidence levels.
  • Create memorable candidate experiences in order to expand our team’s knowledge, diversity, and representation.
  • Be the go-to person in the company for all recruitment topics and provide advice on any TA questions.
  • Oversee and prepare offers and contracts, research salary benchmarks, and continuously advance your market knowledge.
  • Identify bottlenecks and suggest and drive appropriate value-adding improvements in all above-mentioned areas.
  • Handle talent-acquisition admin, work with our ATS -Workable, and assist with employer branding activities.

YOU’LL BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE IF YOU

  • Have 3+ years of in-house TA/ Recruitment experience from a successful, forward-thinking tech company.
  • Have led end-to-end recruitment (from job description to offer negotiation) for tech, non-tech, leadership, and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Are comfortable interacting with senior leadership and stakeholders, and leading them through complex projects, including onboarding, framework development, and upskilling programs.
  • Are approachable, a good listener, articulate, concise, and empathetic in your communication.
  • Are a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment; you comfortably shift priorities, bring projects to thorough completion, and don’t shy away from challenges.
  • Are passionate, curious, and informed about new TA trends, and aren’t afraid to try new things.
  • Treat recruitment as a product that serves our candidates and internal stakeholders and are skilled in designing and implementing scalable recruitment solutions that can grow with us.
  • Have experience working remotely from a remote-first company and advocate for remote work.
  • It’s a bonus if you are a secret data nerd and know that TA metrics are the key to continuous improvement and you also love to spend your time actively exploring more of the great outdoors. That’s what we love to do, too!
Not sure if you meet all the requirements above? Don’t sweat it – if you think you’re the right person anyway, we’d love to hear from you!
