THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a Talent Acquisition Student – Fall 2024 to join our Talent Acquisition Team in St. John’s, NL. This is a 4-month fixed term position. Working a 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday schedule.
As a Talent Acquisition Student, you will have the opportunity to further your development by providing day-to-day support for various projects and initiatives within the Talent Acquisition Team. You will have a holistic and enriching experience like no other, with opportunities to learn and participate in talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion, succession planning, leadership development, and more. Additionally, in this position, you will:
- Manage assigned recruitment files from start to completion for students in Long Harbour, Voisey’s Bay, and St. John’s, as well as other roles as required.
- Including but not limited to making job descriptions, posting jobs, screening candidates, pre-screen interviews, conducting interviews, candidate selection, presenting offers, completing reference checks, etc.
- Assist recruitment team in determining sourcing and recruitment strategies.
- Assist recruitment team in planning recruitment initiatives and events.
- Manage assigned projects in a manner that meets quality, time, and resource requirements.
- Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in handling critical and sensitive information, records, and reports.
- Build relationships with people in the business.
- Potentially be given the opportunity to travel to Long Harbour and Voisey’s Bay Sites.
