As a Talent Development Manager at the Regional Data Centre (RDC) Academy, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing strategies to foster talent development within the data centre (DC) industry, with a particular emphasis on integrating AI, green energy, and sustainability. This dynamic position requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and a passion for advancing professional growth while promoting environmentally conscious practices.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Design and Alignment:

  • Collaborate with educational institutions to incorporate AI principles, green energy concepts, and sustainability practices into the curriculum.
  • Ensure alignment with industry trends, technological advancements, and sustainable practices.

Program Development & Management:

  • Co-create comprehensive DC training programs that integrate AI applications, emphasize green energy solutions, and highlight sustainable data centre practices.
  • Design initiatives that address the specific needs of individuals at various career stages in these evolving domains.
  • Manage the training needs of employees, either locally or in the region, so enrol them into suitable modules in various learning pathways.

Micro-credential Integration:

  • Explore and integrate Competency-Based Micro-credentials to validate and recognize achievements in AI, green energy, and sustainability.
  • Establish pathways for professionals to earn industry-recognized certifications in these specialized areas.

Partnership Management:

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with educational institutions, industry training providers, and green energy organizations.
  • Collaborate with specialists to develop tailored upskilling programs that emphasize AI applications and sustainable practices.

Career Transition Support:

  • Develop conversion programs to facilitate mid-career professionals in transitioning to the data centre industry with a focus on AI, green energy, and sustainability.
  • Provide guidance and resources for skill acquisition in these cutting-edge and environmentally conscious domains.

Talent Pipeline Building:

  • Set up and manage the various work-study programs with various Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL) to provide through path for employees to get qualifications from ITE to degree, including managing the various cohorts of trainees and their performance at work and in IHLs.
  • Set up and manage the internship programs for RDC at various levels, including outreach programs, digital marketing, etc.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Implement mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of talent development initiatives in AI, green energy, and sustainability.
  • Analyze data and feedback to continuously refine and improve programs, ensuring they align with industry advancements.

Industry Research:

  • Stay abreast of AI trends, emerging technologies, green energy solutions, and advancements in sustainable data centre management.
  • Use insights to inform curriculum updates and program enhancements, emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly and innovative practices.
