Job Summary:
Ledcor are hiring a Talent Management Specialist on a 12 month fixed term for a maternity coverage. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Learning & Talent, the Talent Management Specialist is accountable for the successful implementation of talent initiatives at Ledcor, promoting a skills-based approach to drive organizational performance. This role provides subject matter expertise and experience in designing and implementing a variety of talent practices and programs, in particular but not limited to the areas of leadership development and succession, performance management, career development, culture & employee engagement.
The Talent Management Specialist researches and monitors industry trends and best practices and provides content that may be adapted to fit within Ledcor’s operating structure, culture and values. Through a consultative approach with Talent acquisition and Business HR, this role will contribute to the growth and advancement of Ledcor’s career development approach and work with various business partners to communicate talent practices.
This role also acts as a resource to Business HR and Leadership on all topics related to Talent, providing recommendations and solutions, and provides data to HR leadership with respect to measuring, tracking and reporting on outcomes.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, implementation and ongoing program management for core talent programs including succession, career development, performance and employee engagement
  • Contribute to the implementation, and continuous improvement of a leadership development framework including programs for leaders at all levels
  • Engage and partner with various stakeholders, including Workday implementation colleagues to plan for and transition key talent programs into Workday
  • Partner with Employee Communications and Business HR to create and implement communication and change management approaches that lead to successful talent implementations.
  • Responsible for managing vendors to execute on talent programs effectively and efficiently
  • Working in conjunction with the Sr. Manager, Learning & Talent and VP Talent, provide research, trends and best practices so they may be translated into pragmatic insights for Ledcor to leverage in its talent solutions
  • Act as a key resource for Business HR when seeking input and guidance on talent practices and processes

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in HR, including talent management and the development and implementation of talent programs, practices and tools.
  • Experience implementing and supporting enterprise-wide programs and projects within a large, complex organization
  • Proven collaborator, with the ability to provide guidance and support to business clients, and develop strong interpersonal relationships
  • Prominent exposure to talent programs, leadership development, assessment, performance management, succession planning
  • Working knowledge and experience with change management approaches to successfully deliver programs
  • Expertise in employee engagement and culture initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of HR technology and implementation of talent programs (Workday an asset)
