About the role
The role of Talent Manager – Brand & Programs is a newly created role that will form part of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Leadership team. This is an opportunity to reimagine Transurban strategy towards Emerging Talent and enabling the delivery of Transurban’s Diversity and Inclusion objectives from a talent attraction perspective.
The Talent Manager – Brand and Programs has broad responsibility to ensure that we, as a TA function, authentically represent Transurban’s culture, purpose, values and ways of working, both internally and externally.

Day-to-day, you will:

  • Design and deliver a comprehensive and integrated strategic framework for the evolutions for Transurban Emerging Talent approach.
  • Be accountable for the strategic design and delivery of Transurban’s Employer Brand initiatives aligning to the Employee Value Proposition.
  • Contribute to the success of the TA function by providing thought leadership in relation to Employer Branding, DE&I and Emerging Talent, while also translating innovative ideas into solutions for business outcomes.
  • Establish and standardise key metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of employer brand and diversity initiatives.
  • Lead DE&I initiatives in TA with a strategic focus and partner with the Belonging and Wellbeing team to ensure alignment in strategy to deliver impactful DE&I practices.
  • Provide ongoing leadership, mentoring and coaching to direct reports and the broader TA function as needed.
  • Build and foster impactful relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners and prospective candidates.

  • Extensive experience in senior Employer Brand roles gain from working within complex organisations, paired with a well-established understanding of talent attraction.
  • Demonstrated experience in operationalising Diversity and Inclusion strategies for talent acquisition.
  • Understanding of First Nationals recruitment programs and bringing objectives to life.
  • Leadership skills with experience in managing senior team members with the ability to continually support their development and growth.
  • Any skills in project and change management will be highly preferable.
  • Skills in critical thinking, analytical ability and problem solving, with the ability to overlay commercial acumen to decisions and recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to share thought leadership and showcase new perspectives.
  • A hands-on approach, with the willingness to get involved, seek solutions and contribute to the broader People & Culture function.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, provide purpose and enhance high performing teams.
  • A growth mindset - you won’t be afraid to challenge the status quo, helping to problem solve through persistence, passion and the ability to influence and negotiate within an ambiguous and changing environment.
