TANKS PROJECT ENGINEER

UGL Fuels & Energy line of business are seeking interest from experienced Engineers who specialise in Tanks for a permanent position based South of Perth, WA. As part of the Fuels & Energy portfolio, this position will be working on a secured contract with a major oil and gas operator.
About the role
The Tanks Project Engineer is a key role to the Asset Management Team implementing tank maintenance standards whilst leading the maintenance program and coordinating engineering support for our client’s terminal operations at the Kwinana Fuel Terminal (ex BP Refinery).
The role will assist with Maintenance Engineering activities and will be responsible for meeting the agreed budget, implement minor projects, improve asset reliability, and support commissioning activities where required.
This position will ensure all aspects of the engineering design effort (design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical review of the works) are delivered on time whilst adhering to highest safety standard and fit for purpose.
About you

To be considered for the role the following qualifications will be highly regarded:

  • 5+ years’ industry experience in engineering, maintenance and/or project implementation and commissioning for major resources sites within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries
  • Detailed knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards
  • Proven experience in leading a team and managing Subcontractors.
  • Basic understanding of DCS, PLC, SCADA, tank inventory and network systems
  • Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (Classification and Design) certification – ASNZS:60079
  • Experienced in implementing maintenance and inspection programs across multiple sites and use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Ability to conduct & review Electrical and Instrumentation Design Engineering such as calculations, cable schedules, block diagrams, motor sizing, switchboard design, layouts etc
  • Experience in implementation, construction, and commissioning of Electrical (LV&HV) and Instrument equipment and systems
  • Proven experience in working on brownfield projects across multiple sites/locations
  • Capability and flexibility to handle multiple projects in restricted timeframes to support line of business
