Description:

We are currently seeking a Tax Accountant to join a leading bank in Sydneys CBD, the role is a 6 month temporary contract, however could extend beyond that. This role is open to Working Holidays Visas and anyone looking for an opportunity to grow.
The Tax Accountant will assist the Tax Manager with all aspects of tax compliance and reporting with day-to-day responsibilities

Key Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant include the following:

  • Day to day compliance and tax reporting obligations of the entity and its subsidiaries
  • Preparation of tax calculations and provisions, reporting and payment of all taxation liabilities to internal and external tax authorities
  • Monthly preparation of various returns and lodgement with tax and revenue authorities
  • Preparation and processing of tax journals and monthly reconciliation of tax accounts
  • Tax analysis of certain sensitive accounts for reporting purposes;
  • Preparation of transfer pricing documentation including Country by Country Reporting

About You:

We are seeking the following skills and experience in the Tax Accountant:-

  • CPA/CA qualified is preferred
  • Ex big 4 is also desirable
  • Experience with VAT tax, income tax and FBT
  • Experience within Financial Services industry is desirable
  • Strong technical skills, with ability to lead and drive work through to completion autonomously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
