OBJECTIVE
Our Tax Services department is looking for a detail-oriented Tax Associate to consult with clients and provide tax preparation services. The responsibilities include interacting with clients, obtaining and reviewing tax information, preparing tax returns, registering new companies, and performing tax research projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin Chinese.
- A degree in Taxation or Accounting is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in tax preparation, finance, or accounting in CPA firm.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines with effective time management skills.Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with tax/accounting software (QuickBooks and ProConnect)
Responsibilities:
- Ensure clients comply with IRS regulations and meet their state obligations.
- Analyze and minimize tax liabilities by implementing tax reduction strategies.
- Review financial records, income statements, balance sheet, and expenditures.
- Prepare and file tax returns and work papers for clients.
- Research tax issues and assist with tax audits.
- Consult with clients, review their tax information, and respond to questions and concerns.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of each client’s tax situation.
- Assist in registering new business processes.
- Clerical tasks including scan documents, photocopy, email correspondence, and other office duties assigned.
- Handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
