Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Interpreting, applying, and explaining laws, regulations, policies and/or procedures to others (Six months of experience)
  • Dealing with a variety of customers in difficult situations (Six months of full-time experience where you were required to deal with upset or angry customers in an office setting or while conducting field work)
  • Conducting sensitive fact-finding interviews (Six months of experience requiring in-depth, one-on-one interviewing to elicit facts of a sensitive nature)

Responsibilities:

  • Collection.
  • Enforce Idaho tax laws through the collection process for all tax types administered by the Tax Commission
  • Speak with individuals to obtain facts and research a variety of sources to obtain financial information
  • Maintain customer satisfaction and improve customer experience with inbound and outbound calls to consult with the customer or their representative and advise them that liens, levies and warrants may be executed
  • Secure and review taxpayer financial statements and obtain and verify information provided
  • Provide technical assistance, educating taxpayers on Idaho tax laws, and insuring that taxpayers are in compliance
  • Review taxpayer financial records to determine the taxpayer’s ability to pay
  • Perform research and interpret applicable rules, laws, and relevant business or individual financial informationAdvise individuals and business owners of tax liability and monetary fines for failure to pa
