    Our client, a top tier Australian Property Investment, Development & Asset Management business, are looking to recruit a Tax Manager to manage their Australian Finance & Tax requirements.
    The role will assume responsibility for financial, statutory and tax operations internally, as well as the outsourced service providers.
    The purpose of the role is to ensure the delivery of the finance and taxation function for the Australian business, including developing and maintaining a high level of financial control and statutory reporting to assist in the management of the business.

EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

Specific experience will likely include:

  • 6+ years’ experience within Chartered environment.
  • Ideally CA/CPA/CTA Qualified or Equivalent, with relevant tertiary education.
  • Strong taxation and financial accounting knowledge, having proactively kept up to date with key changes in the regulatory environment and providing innovative solutions to the business.
  • Have experience in Corporate, Fund/Trust and/or Property sector.
  • Applies advanced analytical, verbal, written, presentation and persuasion skills.
  • Hands on, collaborative and engaging attitude and approach to delivering quality business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the financial and taxation reporting for all legal entities within the Australian Group including, income tax, GST, FBT, PAYG, Payroll tax and related taxes.
  • Oversee the financial and taxation reporting for all of the funds and the distribution cycles, including income tax, GST and related taxes.
  • Ensure processes are in place to review cost structure and to achieve maximum cost efficiencies taking full advantage of cost control potential between the group and the region.
  • Manage relationships with auditors, tax consultants, fund accountants and registry providers to ensure a high standard of delivery that anticipates and meets the changing business needs, including adherence to key deadlines such as distribution schedules, preparation of financial accounts and tax returns for the fund range and corporate entities as applicable.
  • Provide expert operational and technical advice to the Property & Fund Management team for the launch of new products.
