Reporting directly to the Manager Taxation (7), the Taxation Associate Co-Op is an integral part of the Company’s Finance Team. Assisting the Manager Taxation (7), the Taxation Associate Co-Op is integral for helping assist in research and coordination of tax services, creating a smooth running of the finance department.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working towards a degree in relevant subjects, e.g. accounting, finance, economics
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Competency with: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to apply an understanding of financial statements and other relevant non-tax financial and business information to the tax advisory and compliance work

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with team members to successfully deliver value in tax services
  • Stay up-to-date on applicable tax regulations and best practices in corporate taxes
  • Attend required trainings applicable to corporate tax team
  • Tax research on Canadian and US sales tax
  • Filing on Canadian and US sales tax
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
