SUMMARY

Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine are seeking a full-time, board eligible and/or board certified, fellowship trained pediatric primary care sports medicine physician. In addition to providing the full spectrum of pediatric sports medicine care, this physician will also participate in call. Full participation in the education programs of the Department in coordination with the Chief of the Division of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine will also be expected. This position will be based at the Woodlands campus.
Position Description: Assistant or Associate Professor of Pediatrics, depending on qualifications, in the Division of Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine, Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing clinical and community athletic trainers.
  • Providing direct clinical services to patients of all ages with an emphasis on the pediatric and young adult populations for musculoskeletal and other sports-related problems.
  • Teaching medical students, residents, fellows (virtually), and in the community about sports medicine issues.
  • Scholarly activities will include participation in monthly journal club, annual research retreat and collaboration with other providers.
  • Will share call with other Sports Medicine physicians. Team physician responsibilities will include high school and community-based teams.

Requirements: Board Certified /Eligible in Pediatrics and Board Certified /Eligible in Primary Care Sports Medicine.
