POSITION INFORMATION

Auburn Girls High School is a partially academically selective and comprehensive high school with an enrolment of 850 girls, 98% of whom have a language background other than English. The school has increasingly achieved outstanding HSC and NAPLAN results. This is due to a strong commitment to building collective teacher efficacy and using evidence-based practices to target literacy, numeracy and HPGE. Auburn Girls High School has developed a strengths-based Positive Education wellbeing platform where every student is known, valued, and cared for within a culture of high expectations and academic rigour. Our school’s vision statement is “Auburn Girls High School is a centre of excellence in girls’ education”. This can be seen through academic results and the commitment to student leadership and the thriving extracurricular programs such as sport, dance, school band, debating and competitions.
