Description:

Quality of mind, passion for teaching, and commitment to the education of middle grades children are essential. In addition, the position requires the ability to work collaboratively within a grade level team and to communicate effectively with parents.   • Bachelors Degree plus 3 years of lead teaching experience; M.A., M.Ed., or M.A.T. preferred
  • Orientation to progressive philosophy and teaching methods
  • Experience in curriculum development
  • Experience in differentiating curriculu

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the core content area of English/Language Arts within an integrated middle grades curriculum, as well as serving as an academic advisor
  • Collaboration with other grade level content area and studio teachers
  • Communication and collaboration with parents
  • Routine duties, meetings and engaging in professional learning on a regular basis
