From March, a teaching assistant is required to support a child with an Education Health Care Plan in Year 5. Experience of supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is desirable.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience of supporting a child with an Education Health and Care Plan EHCP
- Be able to attune to a child’s needs and pre-empt any signs of anxiety
- Be able to support with emotional regulation
- Be able to support the child with communication, social interaction attention and concentration, accessing learning, self-help and independence
- Experience of supporting children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences
- Be ambitious for every child
- Have resilience and energy
- Be an excellent team player
This is a temporary contract which will cease when this funding ends or when the child leaves the school.
This post is for 28.75 hours per week and the hours currently required are:
Monday 8.45am – 1pm & 1.30pm – 3pm
Tuesday 8.45am – 1pm & 1.30pm – 3pm
Wednesday 8.45am – 1pm & 1.30pm – 3pm
Thursday 8.45am – 1pm & 1.30pm – 3pm
Friday 8.45am – 1pm & 1.30pm – 3pm
