Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidates will work closely with our experienced educators to support the development and learning of children aged 3 to 5 years old. This role presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood education to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.

Position: Day-to-Day and Long-Term Teachers Location: Wigan: Working in a Range of Schools Across the Area Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay Range: £13.50-£14.50 (Depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities to support the educational objectives of the curriculum.
  • Provide individualised attention and support to students, helping them achieve developmental milestones.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued and supported.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour guidance, promoting a safe and respectful atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure effective communication and engagement in the learning process.
  • Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment conducive to growth and exploration.

Essential requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications (PGCE, QTS etc.)
  • Classroom experience. (Desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
  • Relevant professional teaching references
  • Being passionate about teaching and learning
  • Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
